Below is featured texturing work I did on Animated Movies translating the Directors' vision from 2D Art and Reference images into 3D.

Responsible for: Coming up with ideas for the surface looks, painting maps, creating shaders, making displacement maps, setting up Shaders,

Grooming hair and fur.

 

Softwares used for Look Development at Dreamworks:

  • grooming, making shaders, rendering: Dreamworks proprietory tools.

  • painting maps: Mari 2.5

Softwares used for Look Development at other studios:

  • for Painting: Mari 2.5 and above, Mudbox

  • for Shaders and Rendering: Arnold, Redshift 3D, Maya

  • for displacement and normal maps: Mudbox, zbrush

  • for Fur: xgen
